Pets at Mount Olympus Refuge
Bringing your pet or companion animal to Mount Olympus National Park should always be done with respect for nature, wildlife, and other visitors. Even if your dog is well trained, we strongly recommend keeping animals on a leash at all times while on the mountain.
Well-behaved and good-natured dogs are welcome to visit the refuge during the day, provided they are comfortable around other dogs, including stray animals that may occasionally be present. For the comfort and safety of all guests, dogs are not permitted inside the refuge building or sleeping areas.
If you plan to stay overnight with a dog, you must book a tent camping slot, as pets cannot be accommodated inside the hostel. Please ensure you bring all necessary essentials for your animal’s well-being, including food, water, and any required care items.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for everyone.
Please make sure you bring the following essential items when staying at the refuge. As this is a high-mountain environment with limited facilities, proper preparation is essential. Be aware only cold water is available in the showers.
The weather shown here represents current conditions at the refuge. Due to the rapidly changing nature of mountain weather, conditions may differ from forecasts or weather information shown elsewhere on the site.
